Well Evan and I are home in Minnesota after a 3 1/2 week vacation in Utah. It wasn't the kind of vacation where you relax and kick back. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed myself, but I definitely worked on my vacation! We had 2 weddings, a yard sale, playdates with Evan's friends, girls-night-out, chipped teeth, a night at a cabin with Boston friends, get togethers with high-school friends, Evan taking "rides" on my brothers' four-wheelers, and Rob went fishing and golfing. So it really wasn't all work!! I thought I would have time to keep up on my blog but I obviously didn't so now I get to play catch-up. Over the next week or so I will do some back-dated posts of all the vacation events.
Evan was so excited to see Rob when he picked Evan and I up at the airport. At first Evan looked at Rob very surprised and then he got the biggest grin on his face! He was so happy to have his Daddy back! Evan was also very excited to see his toys. He ran over to his car garage and played so contently. Then shot a few balls into his basketball hoop and finished off by sitting in his red chair. Evan was also very excited to see his friends from playgroup.

When Evan and I were approaching the park, where playgroup was held, he kept pointing at his friends he could see on the playground and gabbering! I was actually surprised he remembered them since he only knew them for 2 months and then we were gone for almost a month. Evan enjoyed his Utah vacation, but I think he is happy to be back in his own house, with his own toys, in his own bed, and especially with his own Daddy!
I hope all is well with everyone and leave you with a silly Evanism. Last night Evan and I were watching Fox and the Hound and eating popcorn while Rob was at a Young Men's activity. Evan grabed a piece of popcorn, hopped off the couch and fed Copper, the dog in the movie. It was so cute to see Evan hold the piece of popcorn up to the TV and then pull it away after realizing that the dog didn't want it! Oh Evan, he keeps me laughing!!
