Happy Halloween!

Doesn't my little pirate look like he is ready to say "Argh Matey"? So cute!

Hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween! We kept it simple, but had a great time. Rob, Evan, and I went over to our friends Rachel and Harvey's house for dinner and a bit of trick-or-treating. Andrea, Reed, and Olivia were also part of the party. We ate delicious homemade chili, which really reminded me of home since my mom always made chili on Halloween while I was growing up. Andrea made great corn bread with honey butter to accompany the chili. My vege platter and dip rounded out the meal. While the adults enjoyed dinner and conversation the kids played and watched Thomas the Tank Engine.

Olivia, Lauren, and Grant were so excited to go trick-or-treating, they just couldn't wait! After dinner clean-up, it was off to the living room to get everyone bundled up since it was a mere 30 degrees!

We even managed to get a picture of the kids before the outing. Olivia was a witch, Evan a pirate, Lauren a doctor, and Grant a chef.

Rob and I took Evan to 2 houses and then headed home. Evan doesn't really get the whole trick-or-treating thing so we decided that it wasn't really worth freezing to continue the trek.

We didn't get any trick-or-treaters at our house, though we were gone for about 1.5 hours. That is too bad because now I have a bunch of candy bars for Rob and I to eat ourselves!! Rob tried to get a picture of Evan and I after the night's events, but Evan obviously had enough and didn't agree with our plan! Oh well. Happy Halloween until next year!

Cute! It's great to see everyone's costumes. I love blogs.
30 degrees, huh. We have had three 70 degree days in a row! Can you believe it? India and I played hooky today from school it was so nice. I love the weather down here. How many times can I say that?? Sorry, I just like to rub it in. LOL
