Halloween Care Packages

Aren't Grandmas the Best?! Today Evan received Halloween packages from both of his Grandmas. A definite plus for living away from family is receiving gifts in the mail. How exciting is it when you open your mailbox and a padded envelope or box is inside? Well it makes my day and these two packages weren't even addressed to me!

Evan loved digging through the packages and seeing what they contained. Grandma Cindy sent him a reversible cape with Superman on one side and Batman on the other. It is pretty cool, so cool that my 18-year-old brother Tyler and his friend tested it out before my mom shipped it to Evan!Evan likes wearing the cape but realized it is more fun to put it on other people so he can see it fly up when they run! So just imagine a 38-week-pregnant lady with a child-size superhero cape on running around her house to entertain her little boy! What a site I am!Evan also loved counting the Lightening McQueen fruit snacks that the package contained.

Then if that weren't enough, Evan got to see all the fun things packaged in the box Grandma Brenda sent him. His favorite is the front loader truck with candy in the back. He has also played the Elmo memory game several times and loves to act like Spiderman spinning a web.Evan was also very excited to get more fruit snacks. I don't buy fruit snacks so Evan thinks it is a real treat to get them. I bet I could just buy him a box of fruit snacks for his birthday or Christmas and he would be so content! Now I think I may be onto something.
