Today was suppose to be Evan's last swimming lesson, but I really didn't feel up to getting into my swimsuit, Evan in his swimsuit, and then have to do a load of "swimming laundry" when we got home. So instead we had swim lessons in the bathtub today! Lately Evan's favorite activity in the bath is to spray shaving cream on the tub wall and play with it. Evan stayed in the tub for over an hour which made for very raisiny fingers.

I don't think Evan even realized he missed swimming lessons. Evan's swimming progress: he doesn't cry as often when water gets in his eyes instead he wipes his eyes and says "blink, blink, blink" as he blinks the water out of his eyes, he went under water twice without crying when he came back up (though he was a bit shocked!), kicks like a mad-man, loves to "monkey" (hold onto the side of the pool and move hands along the side) - which is good because it is a prerequisite to move up to the next level where I don't have to get in the pool with him, continues to love to jump into the pool into my arms, blowing bubbles in the pool, and of course his favorite is just playing with all the water toys. Evan has really enjoyed his swimming lessons, though who needs a pool when you have a bathtub right in your own bathroom.
