Another funny thing Evan has done lately was he attempted to breastfeed Mr Potato Head! I was sitting on the couch nursing Lily and Evan hops up next to me with Mr Potato Head. Evan lifts up his shirt so his belly is showing and I just know what is going to come next. I get Rob's attention and we both start laughing. We scared Evan and foiled his great plan to feed Mr Potato Head. I have heard of girls trying to nurse their dolls, but I guess since we don't have any dolls Evan opted for the next best thing - Mr Potato Head.
Yesterday Evan was walking around with his toy hammer fixing things. Lily sneezed and had some snot on her face. Evan put a mitten on one hand and his hammer in the other and said, "I will fix Lily's nose". I thought, oh no, here he goes hammering Lily's nose. I was curious to see what Evan was going to do with this gloved hand of his so I stayed close but didn't stop him from his "work". Evan takes his hand with the mitten and wipes Lily's nose and says, "It's all fixed.". Yes, we use mittens to wipes noses in the great northern midwest! Really, where did Evan get that idea from?
Speaking of winter gear, lately Evan has been taking 2 of my scarfs and laying them on Lily. He calls her a Princess when she has the scarfs drapped all over her. Evan also likes to ask me if he can "scrub Lily" with the scarfs. As if the scarfs are washcloths. Seriously, this kids is entertaining!
If you made it this far in this post, thanks for listen to my ramblings. I wanted to document these funny things before I forgot them. I want to be able to tell Evan these stories when he gets older. Here's one more picture of smiling Lily for the grandparents.

Don't apologize for writing these things down - I love it! I can totally relate, and it's just a testament to why every stage of our children's lives is the best! They are always so stinkin' cute, and funny, and smart... Being a mom is the best, huh?!
I love those Lily faces! She is getting so big, and she's so cute, esp with those BIG smiles:)
As adorable as she is, you never know what can come out of a baby nose. Good thought with the mitten Evan - you must always be prepared.
Don't ya love funny kid stuff?! That is what I'll miss the most when the kidos grow up!
I almost couldn't breath I was laughing so hard at thinking about Evan breastfeeding MR. Potato Head! That is too priceless. I also liked the other stories and the pictures are sooo cute! Thanks so much for sharing!!
