BEWARE: PICTURE SATURATED & LONG POST!!
We spent Easter this year in Utah. It was nice to be with family for the holiday. We made it an entire weekend celebration - Saturday at Rob's parents' house and Sunday at my parents' house in the morning and my grandparents' house in the evening.
SATURDAY BEFORE EASTER
Saturday Rob's parents' hosted an Easter egg hunt and dinner. We also celebrated Rob's brother, Aaron's, birthday. There were actually 2 egg hunts: an adult hunt and a kid hunt. The adults were just as excited for their egg hunt as the kids. Jenny and Eric scored the big prizes.

As you can see the kids were pretty excited for the hunt to begin.

Grandma Brenda sure knows how to put together a "lotto" egg hunt! She did this type of hunt last year, but we weren't in town so this was our first experience with the lotto hunt. The deal is some of the eggs had candy and some had numbers. Once the hunt is done you open up all your eggs and gather your numbers.

Then Grandma Brenda yells out number 1 and whomever has number 1 gets all excited and Grandma gives them the coordinating prize for that number. So each number (I think 34 total) was assigned a prize -
moonsand, play dough, matchbox trucks, balls, coloring books, money, etc.

Evan had number 1 and his prize was
moonsand.

It was like playing the lotto, but not having to gamble anything. Evan came away with some great loot and he loved the egg hunt. Once all the eggs were found Evan still wanted to stay outside. I thought he was still looking for eggs, but come to find out he was playing in this tiny pile of snow that hadn't melted yet.

Of course no Easter celebration would be complete without some dyed eggs. Grandma Brenda helped Evan with his egg.

We were able to meet the newest addition to the family - James. He belongs to Rob's sister
Steph and her husband Brian. Here is a picture of the sleepless parents! Though they look really good for being sleepless.

He is such a cutie and looks so tiny compared to Lily. Here Lily is meeting her cousin. She wasn't so sure about it.

Then Lily started to freak out and James wasn't phased by her tantrum against boy cooties!

Whitney is such a good sister!

Aunt Jenny is so good to Lily and to me since she offers to hold Lily all the time. Thanks Jen!

And since Jen is so nice to hold Lily, Evan offers to hold her child/dog -Frankie. Though I am not sure that Frankie enjoys Evan holding him as much as Lily enjoys Jenny holding her! Evan LOVES dogs!

Lily's Easter gift from Rob's parents' were these darling zebra-striped sunglasses. Not only are they cute but they are practical - they actually stay on Lily's face.

I love this picture of Landon playing with Lily! So Cute!!

EASTER SUNDAY
Evan upon waking up Easter Morning with Grandpa Rick
Easter Sunday Evan awoke to another Easter egg hunt and Easter basket from the Easter Bunny. Here Evan is with all his loot!
Happy Easter! Can you tell we all just woke up?
My mom set up an Easter Treasure Hunt for Evan to find his gift from her and my dad. He loved it and has been asking me for "clues" ever since. Here Evan is following his final clue via a piggy-back ride from Grandpa.
The last clue brought him to my dad's truck and inside was a scooter. He loved riding the scooter while we were at my parents' house, but we left it there since we obviously didn't have room to take it home with us. But in 3 short months when we move to Utah, Evan can reunite with his scooter and it will be like having a new toy all over again.
My sister Stephanie and her fiance Troy ready for church.

Rob's flight left at 2pm so I drove him to the airport and the kids and I spent that evening at my Grandparents' house. We had Evan's third Easter egg hunt. By this time he was getting really good at it. We ate a delicious Easter dinner and decorated, I swear, at least one hundred sugar cookies! Evan kept sneaking cookies. I think by the end of the night he had eaten 5! Sometime between Easter morning and Easter evening my camera broke so I have no pictures of Easter evening :( But even sadder is that now we have to buy a new camera since Rob's camera got stolen a few months ago and now mine is broken.
We had a fabulous Easter and are grateful we could spend it with family. We are especially grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ as we celebrate this Easter season.
