New Snow!

Yesterday it snowed about an inch. We still have about a foot of iced-over snow that hasn't melted since December thanks to the always below freezing temperatures that we are blessed with. Evan has been asking to play in the snow for weeks, but icy snow isn't so easy to play in plus I would have pretty big welts from the ice balls that Evan would throw at me during our snow ball fight. Evan was so eager to go out in the snow. He was still in his pajamas and he ran upstairs, found his boots and put them on by himself. Note that they are on the wrong feet! Yesterday was the perfect day to play in the snow since we had a bit of new white soft stuff. I love the sight of fresh, clean snow even if it is March! I am just ready for it to warm up a bit. Enough of this in the teens temperatures! I would even be happy with twenties and maybe a day that it is actually above freezing. My porch continues to be an ice skating rink and I have probably used 100 pounds of salt this winter trying to keep it somewhat under control.

Evan loved playing in the snow and after 45 minutes I was dragging him inside because I was cold. I swear there is a sensor in kids that forgets to tell them that they are cold. I think he could have stayed out all day.

If the boots weren't on the wrong feet, he couldn't be three! That's one of my favorite sights on a youngster.
