"What's That?"

Evan's new saying, "What's That?" He says it about everything. We were walking home from the pool today and he kept saying "what's that" as we were passing a pond. I told him it is a pond where the ducks live but he just kept saying, "what's that". I guess he wasn't satisfied with my answer. I actually think he was looking for the ducks (actually geese, but for Evan's purpose we call them ducks!) that are usually at the pond. But they weren't there and since he doesn't know how to say, "Mom, where are the ducks?", he said what he knows we say to him as we point to the ducks, "Evan, what's that?". And we expect him to answer "duck" or "quack, quack". It was really cute! But it gets even funnier....Evan continued to ask "what's that" and I kept answering back. One minute Evan was fully awake and talking to me and the next minute I see his head drop forward and he is asleep! I guess the pool wore him out.

Evan and I go to the community pool 2-3 times per week. Evan loves to play in the water, go down the whale slide and play in the wet sandbox. He could stay in the sandbox for hours if I would let him. I like the pool because it gets us out of the house and it is close enough to walk to.

The pictures displayed here are from about 2 weeks ago when Rob went to the pool with Evan and I.

We are finally feeling settled here in our new place. Everything is in it's place and pictures are hung on the walls. It is starting to feel like home. Last night Rob walked down the stairs and said, "I really like our place, it feels like home". It is a nice to feel at home even though are families are miles away. Who, by the way, we are excited to see in a few weeks!

We are official Minnesotans now with official Minnesota license plates and driver's license (well Rob has one). We are really liking the area we live in and the amenities the city has to offer. We'll see how much we like the area when winter sets it!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Our pool is close too. BUT it takes about a year to get membership. Stupid, exclusive pool.
Your's looks like lots of fun; with a cool slide and everything!
