Evan has graduated from his pack 'n play to a big boy bed a.k.a. toddler bed. Yesterday Rob and I set up his new bed and Ev

an helped by banging on the box! Evan absolutely loves his new bed! His quilt has cars on it and I think that is a big reason he likes his new bed. But he also likes that he can crawl in and out of it by himself without having to yell for us to get him out. Luckily, Evan's first night in his bed was pretty uneventful besides falling out once.

Rob and I were assuming that Evan would get out of bed and come downstairs several times before he would really go to sleep. Evan proved us wrong! We did his bedtime routine - stories, brush teeth, kisses, goodnight and he crawled into bed. That was the last we saw of Evan for the night. He went right to sleep and he even kept his blanket on him which he has never done in his

crib! We had layed pillows on the ground for when Evan rolled out of bed. Evan is a crazy sleeper and once again assumed he would be on the floor several times during the night. Well a few hours after Evan went to bed, Rob and I went to bed and Evan was on the floor at that time. We hadn't heard him fall out of bed, obviously Evan didn't hear himself fall out either since he hadn't made a peep.

We placed him back in bed expecting to hear from him a few times over the night. Well next thing we know it is 7 in the morning, but really 8 to Evan since it was daylight-savings. He slept better in his new bed than he has been sleeping in his pack 'n play. Maybe he was just too squished before!!
Rob, the cool dad that he is, build Evan a fort out of the box his bed came in. Evan loved it! He would take his toys into the fort and just play in there. Evan knocked over the fort a few times and thought it was hilarious! Isn't it fabulous when you get two things in one!?! A bed and a fort for the price of one!
THANK YOU GRANDMA CINDY FOR MY EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESENT - MY BIG BOY BED AND COOL CAR QUILT! LOVE , EVAN

Evan, I am so happy the you like your bed and quilt. Now I am wondering if we better find a helicopter quilt. Don't get your head stuck under the bed again! I can't wait to see.
XOXOXO Grandma, Cindy
