What a fabulous Thanksgiving! We had dinner at our friends' house, Harvey and Rachel Dahl. And what a feast they presented! I'll have to admit the turkey was the prettiest bird I have ever seen. Harvey was all about the presentation of the turkey, not carving it until after we arrived and garnishing it with grapes and oranges. It looked too pretty to eat!! And it tasted delicious also! Besides the turkey we had garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, carrots, green-bean casserole, sweet potatoes, rolls with raspberry-honey-butter, fruit, and stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Yes, it was quite the feast! Everything was very delicious. And then to top it off we had pumpkin and apple pie!

Rob and I felt successful in the kitchen when our "Brenda Rolls" aka Rob's mom's rolls turned out perfectly! They are the most delicious rolls ever! Time consuming, but fabulous!

Rob felt the need to measure the rolls to make sure they raised the proper amount! I am being serious.

Our caramel-apple-pie was the usual hit, or should I say
Morgan's pie. We have made it 3 times this fall and it is always a hit. I believe I have mentioned it a few times on my blog. If you want a great
dutch apple pie recipe, try it! It has this fabulous oatmeal/brown sugar crumb crust on top then caramel is swirled on top after it is cooked. Yummy!
We actually had two desserts sessions. Later that evening, we went over to some other friends, Steve and JoAnn Knighton, for some good conversation and more pie! Who can pass up a second helping of dessert? Not us!
Another great Thanksgiving and another year of so many things to be grateful for. Rob and I feel so blessed and are grateful for our wonderful families and friends who bless our lives. Happy Thanksgiving!!
