Last night Rob and Evan dyed Easter eggs. I am not sure who had more fun - Rob or Evan! Of course Evan had to have a train (Lady) in one hand while he used the other hand to dye the eggs!

Evan arranged the pretty colored eggs back in the egg carton.

This green egg was Evan's personal egg. Dad wrote Evan's name on it and Evan became very attached to it.

Today is Easter! I wasn't feeling well so I stayed home from church and Evan and Rob went. The Easter Bunny left a note saying that he would come this afternoon after naptime. Church took it all out of Evan. Here he is wiped out and really fell asleep in this position on my lap with my cell phone in his hand!

Here is Evan post-nap with his best sideways cheezer! Look how cute his Easter outfit is! It would have been nice to have some pictures taken outside but since it was maybe 30 degrees today, we opted for the pictures and Easter egg hunt to be inside.

Once Evan discovered his Easter basket of course the first thing he saw was Gordon, another train! He wanted Gordon immediately out of the package and didn't care to see what else was in the basket! I think Evan is a bit obsessed with Thomas and Friends trains!

Evan and his trusty friend Gordon. Evan would not put Gordon down!

We finally talked Evan into going on his Easter egg hunt, which was very short, only 6 eggs, but perfect for a 2-year-old. And he decided he wanted to see what other fun things the Easter bunny had brought him. He did all of this with Gordon in his left hand! Evan received the Dairy Cars (Thomas and Friends), matchbox cars, Cars the movie Colorwonder book, stickers, and treats!

It was a very nice, low-key Easter and a nice time to remember our Savior, Jesus Christ, and reflect on the sacrifice he made for all of us.
