The Results Are In......

Can you tell if our baby is a boy or a girl? Well you shouldn't be able to since the above picture is of HER foot! Yes, Baby Taylor #2 is a GIRL! She is weighing in at 1 lb 2 oz and has 18 more weeks to grow to try to surpass her brother's birth weight of 8 lb 2 oz. She was very cooperative for the ultrasound tech so maybe that is a sign of good things to come! Though she is a mover and a shaker. She seems to constantly be doing somersaults in my abdomen, even as I am typing this. Maybe she will be a gymnast?
This picture is the 4D view (what really is 4D?) of the baby. Isn't it cool? And kind of crazy. It looks like a clay model of our baby. Though it is really neat to see her profile like this instead of the skeletal view the ultrasound gives you. One of the 4D views we saw looked a lot like Evan when he was a baby. It will be interesting to see what this baby really looks like once she is born! I am interested to see if we only have one mold or all our children will look completely different. I guess we'll have to wait 4 months.
So there you have it - Evan is going to have a baby sister. When asked what he wants to name her Evan said, "Baby Belly Mommy". Humm, we will have to consider that one!

4d means that the ultrasound constructs a 3d surface image of the baby and shows it moving. Moving (or time) is the fourth dimension.
