One Track Mind
Today as we were eating lunch Rob & I were talking about what we learned today at church. There was a Hispanic lady who gave a talk in Spanish and had another lady translate into English. I was saying how I have a hard time following talks when I hear the Spanish version, then the English translation, then back to Spanish, etc. Plus we were sitting in the back where it was noisy. So I said, "I lose my train of thought.". Evan peeps up and says, "I want to get it." I then asked, "What?". Evan said, "I want the train of thought." Rob and I were laughing so hard. Just prior to lunch Evan had been looking at the trains in the Target toy catalog. Of course he kept asking to get every train related item he could see. I then went on to ask Evan to describe what the "train of thought" looks like and he told me it is green, with 3 wheels, and no tender. Later I was telling Rob about a comment Kimberly posted on our blog regarding "potty training" and for 5 minutes Evan kept saying, "I want potty train". And asking, "Where's potty train, Mom?". Obviously this kid has a one track mind, straight down the track to trains.

Evan, the conductor on the train says your train of thought should be riding the porcelain train in the bathroom. And what is a tender?
I can't get over how cute your little Evan is! Kids say the cutest things; I love that he turns every converstion into trains! How does he like swimming lessons? Of course, you need a plastic lizard to go to swimming lessons, right!?
So, when are you due? I'm excited to hear about this new baby coming! It really sounds like you guys have some great friends! That makes living away so much fun, I'm sure.
It is true that kids do say the darndest things! He was so cute in his monkey costume too! I loved having trick or treaters for the first time this year. In Eric's newsletter he talks about our two favorites and they were both in the 3-4 year old range. So cute!! Hope you are finishing strong with baby #2. Love you!
That is the cutest thing, it made me laugh. What a cutie!
I love it Mandy. Isn't it cute how literally kids take the things that we say.
Of course this is adorable - we thought so when we read it when it was posted, but the purpose of this comment is to ask, "Where is Baby Girl Taylor?" I was thinking especially lots about it last night, and praying all is well, and she'd be here soon. (Here's a tip: have Evan earnestly call for her to come out at your belly - that's what Whit did, and the next day, Tay was here!)
