Lily rolled over (front to back) for the first time on Monday (December 17). She was one day shy of 4 weeks old! That is about how old Evan was when he rolled over for the first time. She has only done it that one time and it happened so fast that I didn't capture it on video. But I do have a 3-year-old witness named Evan who will happily attest that it did happen. This is the "after" shot of Lily's big accomplishment. She looks a bit beat up from all the hard work.
Other happenings in the life of one-month-old Lily:

* She smiles a lot and so easily. She especially likes Evan and when he laughs she usually smiles.
*The minute she wakes up she wants to eat. She starts crying and doesn't stop until I feed her. She likes the pacifier, but not when she is hungry. There is no way to hold off this girl when she is ready to chow!
*Sleeping 5-7 hours at night. Last week for several nights Lily was going to sleep at 2 am and then waking at 7 am to eat and go right back to sleep until 10 or 11 am. She must be a Taylor with those kind of hours! Now Lily is going to sleep between 11 pm and 12 pm and waking around 5 am or so.
*Lily is not a morning person. She pretty much sleeps the entire morning. She definitely is her mother's child.
*Lily still has dark blue eyes and we are just waiting for them to change. We of course hope she ends up with eyes like Evan, but since Rob and I both have green eyes the likelihood of us having two children with light blue eyes isn't very good.
*Lily still has a decent amount of dark brown hair.
*Poor Lily came down with baby acne around 2 weeks of age and continues to have it. It seems to be improving slowly. We hope this isn't a sign of things to come in her teenage years.
*Lily still hates her baths, but is getting better about being naked when I am changing her clothes.
Evan is such a good big brother. He still laughs at almost anything Lily does which right now it is pretty much eat, sleep, diaper change, move arms & legs, and open & close her eyes! Evan says several times a day, "Lily is getting bigger so she can play". Evan just can't wait to have a playmate.

Hope you guys had a good Christmas!!
The kids are cute, the Christmas card you sent was amazing (how long did it take you to do that?) and Rob's braces are very sparkly. That is what Alice said when she saw the picture. "His teeth are very sparkly!" When Lily gets old enough for princesses, you'll understand.
Mandy,
Your kids are so cute. Congrats on the new baby. I saw your blog link on Chelsa's and thought I would say hi. Hope you guys are doing well.
Amber
Tell Lilly great job for rolling over. We're so glad to have you guys back. You were definitely missed during Christmas, but I'm glad you had a good trip.
Mandy...happy very late birthday. I'm sorry I missed it, esp since you were so good about remembering mine. LOVED the Christmas letter. Happy New Year!
I am ready for an update on your blog! I posted a picture of Lily on my blog too.
