Evan was placed on Septra (a Sulfa antibiotic) for a second course of antibiotics for his
infected thumb. He started taking it right before we left for Utah. Two days ago Evan started to develop a pin-point rash, rosy cheeks, and a fever. We stopped giving him the antibiotic wondering if this was a reaction to the medication. The rash quickly spread over his entire body except for the soles of his feet (it is even on the palms of his hands). Yesterday the rash became more blotchy and a lot worse. Evan has been pretty happy through most it this, just really tired. The only part that itches is his face. Today, two days into it, the rash has began to fade. We assume that this was all just an allergic reaction to his antibiotic. So no more Sulfa medications for Evan. All of these pictures were taken yesterday when the rash was the worst. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see the rash better.
