Fun Times in Utah

Evan has had a blast so far on our vacation to Utah. We have been staying with Rob's parents and Evan has been able to play with Grandma Brenda's dog, Barkley. Evan loves to chase the dog, try to ride the dog, pulls his tail, play catch with the dog, and pretty much torment Barkley! Luckily for Evan, Barkley is use to being around kids, so he is really mellow and doesn't snap back at Evan. The other day Rob was pulling Evan in the wagon and Evan wanted Barkely to come for a ride too. So Barkley sat in front of Evan and Barkely's tail would wag in Evan's face. Evan was laughing the whole time. He thought it was the greatest!

Evan also has loved Grandpa Vardell's Big Truck! Not only does he love to ride in it and the whole time we are in it he keeps repeating "Truck", but Evan also loves to drive it himself. Evan loves to sit in the front seat and steer the wheel and pull and push all of the buttons. So once you turn the truck on the wipers and lights are on, the a/c is full blast, and your blinker is on! It is quite the sight!

Evan has been enjoying having other kids around the house during the day. Rob's mom watches 2 of Evan's cousins during the day. Evan has loved following Whitney, who is 5-years-old and starting Kindergarten in a week, around and copying what she does. They love to do the crazy dance, where they both scream and stomp their feet. It is funny to watch a few times, but gets a little loud after awhile. Evan and Taylor, Whitney's younger brother who is 1 week younger than Evan, aren't quite sure if they like each other yet! I think they both feel that their space has been invaded. Whenever one of them is in the highchair, the other gets quite mad. Though every once in a while they decide to be friends and play well together. This picture of Evan and Taylor drinking out of their sippy cups was one of those moments. They would take a drink then look at each other and laugh. It was so cute that I had to take a picture so I would remember this moment of them being nice to each other!

Taylor and Evan also like to be friends when it comes to wrestling Rob. Rob was laying down and they both jumped on him like he was a big pillow. The fun times never end in the Motherland!
