West Jordan Gang

We made it to Utah!! Rob, Evan and I flew in to Salt Lake City late Friday night (August 25th). Rob will be here for about 9 days and then has to get back to school, but Evan and I will stay for an additional 2 weeks. We have a full week ahead of us including Rob's sister Stephanie's wedding, fishing, get together's with friends and family and hopefully a little relaxation.

What a great time we had at the Bowler estate on Saturday. Lynn and Haylie were generous to have the West Jordan High gang plus spouses and kids over for pizza, basketball (indoor and outdoor), horse rides, scary ghost stories at the firepit by Addy, and great times catching up on each others lives. We were fortunate enough to be blessed with the presence of the Oliversons (even though they were on Bowler time and showed up a bit late), the Cleggs, the Johnsons, and of course the host, the Bowlers. What a trooper Cally is to happily come to the gathering. She is due with baby #2 on Friday, Sept 1st and she looks great! Good luck Cally!

Rob, Evan, and I always have so much fun when we get together with Rob's high school friends. Our kids all play together and have a great time, which allows time for the girls to talk and the guys to play basketball. It is definitely a win-win situation for all involved.

Haylie had a great idea to allow each child to ride their horse. Some liked it better than others-Grace absolutely loved it, saying "Wheee" and jabbering the whole time. On the other hand, Evan loved the horse when he wasn't on it, but once I sat him on the horse he went balistic! Tanner and Jake were so proud of themselves that they rode a horse. They were all smiles. It was so cute. And Hollynd and Addy are pros at riding the horse and have all the cute cowgirl gear to go with it! The kids loved the Bowlers spacious backyard, just as much as Lynn and Haylie love mowing it!!! Evan and Grace decided it would be fun roll down the hill over and over again. Whatever suits their fancy! Of course the guys played an intense basketball game and loved every minute of it!

We are so fortunate to have such great friends. No matter what we are doing we have a great time together. We are so thankful for them and can't wait to get together with them next time we are in town!!!
