Ever since
"ba", a.k.a. pacifier, was tossed, Evan decides about once a week that a nap isn't in his agenda. He isn't cranky, so I don't really mind it, but if we go somewhere in the car anytime after 3pm he falls asleep.

Not a good thing when bedtime comes around! Well today was an "I'm too busy, I don't have time for a nap" day. Evan was as happy as could be though and very busy with his trains and books. We weren't going anywhere, considering we are getting dumped on with snow, so it all worked out until dinner time. Evan was begging to eat around 5 pm. I put him in his chair and he started eating chicken nuggets. Evan was on his second to last one and he dropped the nugget. I looked over at him and his head was bobbing and his eyes were rolling shut. I called Evan's name and he briefly opened his eyes. I handed him his chicken nugget and he continued to eat with his eyes closed! I was laughing so hard. Evan finished most of his dinner half asleep.

He would put his food in his mouth and chew, but not open his eyes. It reminded me of those stories you hear of kids falling asleep face-down in their meal! Once I got him out of his booster seat Evan fully woke up because I am a mean mom and made him walk. I really didn't want him to go to sleep at 5 pm for the night. Luckily I kept him up until 7 pm and he should be out until 7 am! Happy eating and sleeping, just hopefully not at the same time!!
