Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

The first change that you may notice is the obvious, I changed the template on our blog. I thought that since I haven't posted in three and a half months that maybe if I change up the look of our blog it would give me the motivation to start posting again. I got the template from http://www.shabbytulips.blogspot.com/.

The second change is that Rob is officially in his second and last year of his orthodontic residency!!! Can you feel my excitement? One more year of schooling and then hopefully we will be seeing a paycheck! Rob is really busy in the ortho clinic because the 6 residents in his class had to take over all the patients of the residents who just graduated in addition to their current patients. So things are a little crazy but Rob is still loving what he is doing. Someone said to Rob the other day that they heard he was going to do his MBA after he finished ortho school. I started laughing and then looked at Rob for reassurance that it was all just a rumor! Yes, it was a rumor. One of the directors at school did beg Rob to get his PhD, which would take an additional 3 years, but both Rob and I agree it is about time to give this student life the boot! The whole 9 years I have known Rob he has been a student and I am excited to get to know the non-student side of my husband.

The final change that is happening around here is that we are expecting our second child in November! Thus the neglect to my blog the past few months. I am sure you all thought that I was on some fabulous vacation in Europe or that I was just being lazy, well I would have opted for either of those scenarios. I have been horribly sick this pregnancy. I was really sick when I was pregnant with Evan but this time around it has been even worse. I will spare you all the fabulous details and just say that I have had severe nausea around the clock and vomiting. I was eventually placed on Zofran, an anti-nausea medication used for chemo-therapy patients, after a week of not leaving my house and running to the bathroom every 2 hours. The Zofran has done wonders for the vomiting, but I still continue to be nauseated. I am hoping any day now I will miraculously feel better! These past few weeks have definitely been a bit better.
My ultrasound is a week from today and Rob and I are anxiously waiting to find out the sex of the baby. We will be happy either way. A girl would be nice so we have one of each and then I can really follow through on my threat that I will not do this pregnancy thing again! Though a boy would be nice since we already have all the boy clothes and toys and would help our student-life-budget. Plus then Evan has a little buddy. So hopefully we will know in a week!

I am going to try to back post a few things that have happened these past few months while I have been out of commission. So stay tuned........

Congrats--again!!! I hate that you're so sick. There's nothing worse. At least something cute and wrinkly will come out of it! Are you guys going to Utah this summer at all?
